To earn EREs, every charged kWh has to be measured by a MID-certified meter. That is why the charger check gives one short answer per model: if your charger has a built-in MID meter you can earn EREs, and if it does not, you cannot.
The question that usually follows: I do have a separate meter in the cabinet, does that not count?
A separate meter does not count by default
No. An external MID meter in the cabinet does not automatically make your charger eligible for EREs. It can only count if a certified installer fitted that meter and can prove it.
In practice that happens almost only in a business setting, where the installation is delivered and documented by an installer anyway. So for an ordinary home charger the answer is nearly always the same: no built-in MID meter, no EREs.
