NexBlue chargers are now ready for a charging reward via Stekker

NexBlue chargers can now be paired with Stekker, which earns you a reward for the electricity you charge at home. Whether yours qualifies depends on the model, because it needs a certified meter inside.

Why that meter is needed

The reward is paid per kilowatt hour you charge at home. For those kilowatt hours to count, the charger has to measure them with a meter certified for the purpose, a MID meter. Without one there is no proof of what was charged, so there is nothing to register.

What your NexBlue can do

Model MID meter For Reward possible
Edge Max standard home yes
Delta Max standard business yes
Edge 2 none home no
Delta none business no

For home charging that leaves the Edge Max. If you have an Edge 2 there is no certified meter inside, so no reward can be calculated over your sessions.

How to pair your NexBlue

Pairing runs over OCPP. In the charger settings you enter the address Stekker gives you once you have signed up. Nothing about your installation changes and no electrician is needed.

What to do

Sign up with Stekker and pair your charger afterwards. If you are unsure whether yours qualifies, use the charger check.
