Which chargers work with Stekker?

→ Take the charger check and find out in a few clicks whether your charger works with Stekker.

How Stekker connects your charger

The quickest way to find out if your current charger works with Stekker is through our charger compatibility tool: pick your brand and model and you’ll see right away whether your charger is supported and how to connect.

Stekker works with your charger in two ways:

  • Direct connection — currently with Easee and Zaptec you sign in with your brand account and give Stekker permission by filling out your username and password for Easee or Zaptec.
  • Via E-Flux — for other brands (such as Wallbox, Peblar, EVBox, Alfen, Tesla) we connect via E-Flux. E-Flux is a Dutch platform that already supports many charger brands. You create an E-Flux account, connect your charger there, and paste a pairing code in Stekker.

My current charger is not compatible, what now?

To receive ERE compensation, your charger MUST have an internal or attached MID-meter. For smart charging for consumers, we have multiple routes available, but your charger does need to support ERE compensation, as Stekker is not a fully free service, but works on a commission model. (15% commission on ERE’s or 25% if you like to include smart charging in your account)

We’re continuously building new direct integrations so more brands work in a single click. That makes it easier to earn ERE compensation and let your charger charge smart.

Two requirements for ERE compensation

To earn ERE compensation, the Dutch Emissions Authority has two requirements for your charger:

  • A MID-certified kWh meter — most modern chargers have this as standard. You’ll find it in the specs or on the name plate.
  • You own the grid connection — the charger sits behind your own meter (homeowner or VvE member).
