Frequently asked questions
Does Stekker work with my charger?
Stekker works with most smart chargers that support OCPP: Alfen, Zaptec, Easee, Wallbox and more. Check in the app if your charger is compatible.
Do I need a dynamic energy contract?
Not necessarily. ERE earnings work with any contract. But with a dynamic contract (such as Tibber or Octopus Energy) you save extra by charging at cheap moments.
What about my solar panels?
Stekker predicts your solar production and plans charging accordingly. Using your own solar power is 2-3x more valuable than feeding it back to the grid. Stekker maximizes self-consumption automatically.
Is smart charging bad for my battery?
No. Stekker always charges above a safe minimum power level and avoids extreme patterns. Smart charging is actually gentler than always charging at full power.
