How to earn with your charger
About ERE rewards
ERE (Emission Reduction Units) are certificates that fossil fuel suppliers in the Netherlands must buy to offset their CO₂ emissions. Every kWh you charge at home generates ERE’s. Stekker registers and trades them for you — you get 85% of the proceeds.
About smart charging
Stekker schedules your charging sessions at hours with the lowest energy price or the most own solar production. With a dynamic contract or solar panels, you save directly on your electricity bill. Available again for consumers from June 1, 2026.
About grid congestion compensation
At peak moments, Stekker briefly pauses your charging so the grid stays balanced. Your car is still ready on time. Grid operators pay for this — the compensation reaches you directly.
