Understanding Your Dashboard

A guide to the Stekker organization dashboard — what the numbers mean and how to use them.

Accessing Your Dashboard

Your Stekker dashboard is available at stekker.app. After logging in, you will see your organization’s overview. This is your central hub for monitoring charging sessions, reviewing costs and savings, and managing your charging infrastructure.

Active Sessions

The active sessions view shows every vehicle currently plugged in and charging (or waiting to charge) at your sites. For each session, you will see:

  • Charge point and connector — Which physical plug the vehicle is connected to.
  • Vehicle or card — The identified vehicle or RFID card that started the session.
  • Current power — How much power (in kW) is being delivered right now.
  • Energy delivered — Total energy (in kWh) delivered so far in this session.
  • Battery level — For connected vehicles, the current state of charge.
  • Departure time — When the car is expected to leave, based on the configured preferences.
  • Charging mode — Whether the session is using smart or fast charging.

If a session shows low or zero power while the car is still plugged in, this is normal — it means Stekker is deferring charging to a cheaper or greener time slot.

Historical Sessions

Completed sessions appear in the session history. Each entry includes:

  • Duration — How long the vehicle was plugged in.
  • Energy — Total kWh delivered during the session.
  • Cost — The actual electricity cost for the session, calculated using the real market prices at the time of charging.
  • Savings — How much you saved compared to uncontrolled charging. This is calculated by comparing your optimized session against a baseline where the car would have charged at full power immediately.
  • Status — Whether the session completed normally or was interrupted.

Session Status Indicators

Sessions can have different statuses that help you understand what happened:

  • Completed — The session finished normally. The vehicle reached its target charge level or was unplugged.
  • Active — The session is currently in progress.
  • Interrupted — The session ended unexpectedly, for example due to a charge point error or network issue.

Filtering and Sorting

You can filter sessions by site, charge point, vehicle, or date range. This is particularly useful for organizations with multiple locations or large fleets. Sorting by cost or savings helps you quickly identify which sessions benefited most from optimization.

Key Metrics to Watch

Over time, pay attention to these indicators:

  • Total savings — Your cumulative savings across all sessions. This is the clearest measure of Stekker’s value.
  • Average savings per session — Higher averages typically mean your drivers are plugging in early and giving Stekker enough time to optimize.
  • Peak power — Monitor whether your site stays within its contractual grid limit (GTV). Stekker handles this automatically, but it is good to verify.
  • Solar self-consumption — If your site has solar panels, check how much of the solar energy is being used for charging versus exported to the grid.
