Road, formerly known as E-Flux, offers a complete platform for managing EV charge points and transactions. As one of Stekker’s most important integration partners, the collaboration makes smart charging accessible to thousands of charge point owners — without any hardware modifications.
The partnership started in 2023, initially focused on home charging locations where consumers could pair their E-Flux charge point with Stekker through a simple 5-character code in the Mijn E-Flux dashboard. Since then, the integration has expanded to business locations with larger charging plazas.
Stekker works as an additional intelligence layer on top of the E-Flux software. Charging profiles are sent to the station in real time, optimizing for dynamic energy prices, solar self-consumption, and contracted transport capacity. Because Stekker communicates with the charge point via E-Flux rather than with the car directly, it works for every vehicle.
For home users, the cloud-based setup takes just minutes. For business locations, Stekker offers a full Energy Management System with optional Edge module for on-site optimizations, with setup times of 1-2 weeks for cloud and 2-4 weeks with hardware.
The integration enables automatic grid congestion accounting and generates reports for subsidy applications, including HBE credit eligibility through proven solar simultaneity.
